A man buys milk at ₹8.5 per litre and dilutes it with water. he sells the mixture at same rate and thus gains 11.11%. find the quantity of water mixed by him in every litre of milk.

S.P = 8.5
P = 11.11% = 100/9 %

S.P = (1 + P/100)*C.P

8.5 = (1 + 1/9)*C.P

8.5*9/10 = C.P

>> C.P = 7.65

For 8.5 Man Buys 1 Lt
For 1 Man Buys 1/8.5 Lt
For 7.65 Man Buys  7.65/8.5 Lt = 0.9 Lt

But he sells this as 1 litre
>> Amount of water mixed = 1 - 0.9 = 0.1 Lt
