300=8% of face value of shares purchased
so,face value of shares purchased =300/8%=3750
Face value of one share =10
so,no.of shares purchased=3750/10=375 shares

Hello your answer

N.V of 1share='rupee 10

D=8%

Dividend=Rupee300

let the number of share be X

Dividend=D%×N.V of 1shares ×number of share

Rupee300=8%×10×X

X=300×8=10

X=3750=10

X=3750/10(both the 0cancelled)

X=375..
