let actual CP be x.

CP for the man=15/16ofx=15x/16

Then,

SP of the car=(100+10)%of CP

=110/100×15x/16

=1.1×15x/16

=1.03x

Now,

p%=sp-cp/cp×100%

=1.03x-x/x×100%

=0.03x/x×100%

=0.03×100%

=3%

So the gain is 3%.
