work completed in 3 days=3/7=300/7=42.85%

so remaining=57.15%

57.15% of 5 = 57.15 × 5        

                      --------------=  2.85 days

and 42.85% of  7=2.9days

so clearly ans is  4.75days   or 4 days and 18 hours
