if the current is downstream.. then,

let distance be 'x'

therefore d=s.t

total speed = manual rowing + spees of current

= 10+2

= 12 kmph

t= 1hr

x=12 × 1 = 12 km..

if the current is upstream...

let distance be 'x'

speed = manual rowing - speed of current

= 10-2 = 8kmph

t= 1hr

x= 8 × 1 = 8km
