A man climbs a ladder carrying a concrete block of mass 5 kg. If the ladder makes an angle of 30° to the vertical and is 3 m long, how much work the man does on the block ?

vertical height can be calculated using sin30=1/2=height/ hypotenuse

height=(1/2)×hypotenuse=3/2

work =mgh=5×9.8×(3/2)=4.9×15=73.5
