let the time he walked be x
distance covered by walking = 3x
now,
time he ran = (3-x)
distance covered by running = 9(3-x) = 27-9x
therefore,3x + 27-9x = 15
== 6x = 12
x = 2
distance by walking = 3x = 3 × 2km = 6km
running distance = 15- 6 = 9km
distance covered by walking = 3x
now,
time he ran = (3-x)
distance covered by running = 9(3-x) = 27-9x
therefore,3x + 27-9x = 15
== 6x = 12
x = 2
distance by walking = 3x = 3 × 2km = 6km
running distance = 15- 6 = 9km
