let total property be of rs. x

1st son = rs. 2500

2nd son = 5/12 * x

3rd son = rs. 2500 + 5/12 x

2500 + 5/12x + 2500 + 5/12x = x

5000 + 5/6 x =x

x-5/6x = 2500

(6x -5x) = 2500 * 6

x = 15000

3rd ( youngest son got ) = 2500 + 5/12 * 15000

= 2500 + 6250

= Rs. 8750
