Answer:

Women'  salary = ₹ 10,800

Man's salary = ₹ 12,000

Step-by-step explanation:

Woman's salary = x

Man's salary = x + 1200

One-sixth of the  wife’s salary = x/ 6

One-tenth of the man’s salary = (x + 1200) / 10

Now making equation based on given condition

One-sixth of the  wife’s salary  + One-tenth of the man’s salary = ₹3000

∴ (x/6) + (x+1200)/10 = 3000

∴ 5x + 3(x + 1200) / 30 = 3000   [ LCM is 30 for 6 and 10]

∴ 8x + 3600 = 90000

∴ 8x = 86400

∴ x = 10800

Wife's salary = 10,800

Man's salary = x + 1200 = 10800 +1200 = 12000
