Hello Ajit

Here's your answer

Let the earnings of hiss wife be x

As his earnings are 600 more than his wife's, his earnings will be x+600

One tenth of his earnings (1/10)*x+600
=(x+600)/10

One sixth of his wife's earnings (1/6)*x
=x/6

One tenth of his earnings and one sixth of his earnings add up to 1500

(x+600)/10+x/6=1500
3(x+600)/30+5x/30=1500
(3x+1800+5x)/30=1500
8x+1800=1500*30
8x+1800=45000
8x=45000-1800
8x=43200
x=43200/8
x=5400

His wife's earnings are x=Rs.5400

His earnings are x+600=5400+600=Rs.6000

wife's income = x man's income = x + 600

one tenth of man's income =(x + 600)/10

one sixth of wife's salary = x/6

(x + 600)/10 + x/6 = 1500

(6x +3600 + 10x)/60 = 1500

16x + 3600 = 60x1500

16x = 90000-3600

16x = 86400

x = 86400/16 = 5400

wife's income = 5400 man's income = 6000
Total monthly expenditure =(5400+6000)-1500
=11400-1500
=9900
