He will sink deep into the sond while standing because the pressure will be higher when standing than lieing down

Pressure and thrust force is inversely proportional to area.
P = F/A
When the man will be standing on the sand he will cover less area, area of his feet only and all his weight will be distributed only on that area but when lies down the same weight will get distributed over the complete lengthy of his body and hence pressure will decrease and consequently he will sink less .
