Answer:

17 m

Step-by-step explanation:

irst the man goes to the west 15 m from point A to point B and then it turns north from point B and walks 8 m to point C.

This forms a right angled triangle ABC

So,by pythagoras theorem

SO,

AC = 17 metres.

So the man is now 17metres away from his starting point.

answer : 17m

Step-by-step explanation:

according to question ,

the initial velocity of man is 15m and Final velocity of man is 8m.

In ΔOAB is a right angled Δ at A

OA = 15m. OB = 8m.

By Pythagoras theorem

OB^2=OA^2 + AB^2

OB =√(15)^2 + (8)^2

OB = √225 + 64

OB =√289

OB = 17

A man goes 17 m far from the starting point.
