» According to the question

» First the man goes 35 m in direction west

» and after he goes 4 km in direction East (Opposite direction of west)

then

=>, total Displacement = 4 km - 35 m

=> Total Displacement = 4000 - 35 m

=>Total Displacement = 3965 m

{Answer}

\bold{Given}

A man goes due west = 35m

Then goes due east (opposite of west) = 4km

(If we replace 4km to m Then it should easy to find his displacement)

4km = 4×1000= 4000m

\bold{ Now}

His displacement = 4000m-35m= 3965m

.•. 3965m he away from his initial position.
