Let the person have x rupee when he started the journey. Thus, according to the question.

2(2(2(2x-100)-100)-100)-100 = 0

=> 2(2(2(2x-100)-100)-100) = 100

=> 2(2(2x-100)-100)-100 = 50

=> 2(2(2x-100)-100) = 150

=> 2(2x-100)-100 = 75

=> 2(2x-100) = 175

=> 2x-100 = 87.5

=> 2x = 187.5

=> x = 93.75

Thus the person had 93.75 rupee when he started the journey.
