A man grows into a giant such that his linear dimensions increase by a factor of 9. Assuming that his density remains same , then by which factor the stress in leg will change ? ​

Stress=force/Area

Let linear dimenssion be l,b,h.

Stress=Force/l×b

Now dumenssion increase by factor of g.

So,Now S=Force/9l×9b=ma/81lb

S'=pVa/81×lb

S'/S=9^3V/81×lb×lb/V

S'=9S

Hence stress in leg will change by factor of 9.
