Let us assume present age of Father is x years and a, b are the ages of his daughter and c is the age of his son.

Given:

x = a + b + c -------------1

Also given:

In 15 years,

a + 15 + b + 15 + c + 15 = 1 1/2  * (x + 15)

a + b + c + 45 = 3/2 *( x + 15)

 (a + b + c) + 45 – 45/2 = 3/2 x  ---------------2

Multiply the equation on both sides by 2

2(a + b + c) + 90 – 45 = 3x

Substitute the value of x = a + b + c from equation 1 in equation 2

2x + 45 = 3 x

x = 45 years

The present age of Father is 45 years.
