a man holds a spherical shaving mirror of radius of curvature 60cm and focal length 30 cm at distance of 15 cm from his nose find the position of image and calculate the magnification​

Focal length of the mirror (f) = 30 cm

Distance from the Object (u) = 15 cm

According to the formula: 1/v + 1/u = 1/f ; 1/v = 1/f-1/u = 1/30+1/15

Position of the image = (v) = 30 cm

Magnification (m) = -v/u = -30/(-15) = 2.
