Let A's initial investment be x Rs.

Thus total sum invested by A in one year =x×4+(x+6000)×8 Rs =12x+48000 Rs

As per the given condition,

25000×12

12x+48000

=

2500

2400

25000×12

12x+48000

=

25

24

⇒300x+48000×25=24×25000×12

⇒300x=6000000

⇒x=20000

Total amount invested by A =20000×4+26000×8=2,88,000 Rs.
