The ration of their ages , grandfather to grandson = 10 : 1

the difference between the ratio is 9.


And 9 can also be the difference between their real ages.

9=54
1 = 6

so 10 = 10×6 = 60 ( grandfather's present age)
And 1 = 6 ( grandson's presnet age )

and situation is given , that the man is 54 year more than the. grandson

equation comes out =>

X =. 54+ y -------------(2)



from equation 1and 2

on putting the value of equation 2 in 1


we get ,


X = 10Y

or

X = 54+Y ,

10y = 54 + Y

9Y =54

Y = 6

hence ,

the man age is

X = 10y

X = 10*6

X = 60 years




hence , man age is 60 years and grandson age is 6 years
