Let the son's age be x years

man's age be( x + 24 ) years

After two years

Son's age = (x+2) years

Man's age = (x+24)+2 years

ATQ ;

2 (x + 2) = x + 24 + 2

2x + 4 = x + 26

2x - x = 26 - 4

x = 22 years

Therefore,

Son's age = 22 years

and Man's age = 22 + 24 = 46 years

let be assum fathers present age be x and Son's present age be y

therefore, According to the 1st condition
x = y + 24
x - y = 24 ........1st equation
after 2 years
x+2 = 2y
x - 2y = -2........ 2nd equation
multiply by 2 in equation 2 we get,
2x - 2y =48...........3rd

subtract 2nd equation from equation 3rd

2x - 2y = 48
- x - 2y = -2
- + +
----------------------
x = 50
substitute the value of x=50 in equation 1st we get, x - y = 24
50 - y = 24
- y = 24 - 50
- y = - 26
therefore y = 26

present age of son is 26.

maybe this will help you ....
