Explanation:

Periodic Motion-: If any motion is repeating its motion at regular interval of time then it is known as periodic motion.

* It is also known as harmonic motion.

* Fixed timing after which the motion is repeating that period is known as time period.

Examples-:

(i) Motion of the pendulum of the wall clock.

(ii) The motion around Sun of the planets.

Oscillatory Motion-: If any motion is in the to and fro condition ( if a object comes back & forth at a fixed interval of time) is known as oscillatory motion.

* It is also known vibratory motion.

Examples-:

(i) Oscillation of animals spended from the spring

(ii) Vibration of the wire in a sitar.
