A man is 26 years elder than his son. After 5 years, he will be 3 times as old as his son. Find their present ages. ​

Let (x) be the present age of the son, then present age of the father will be (x+26).

After 10 years, age of son = (x+10) & age of the father =(x+36)

Now, x+36 = 3*(x+10)

x+36 = 3x+30

2x = 6

=> x =3

Present age of son = 3 & present age of the father = 3+26 = 29.
