A man is 30 years old and his son is 4 years old. After how many years will the man be twice as old as his son?

let after x years the man be twice as old as his son

after x years the age of the man is (30+x)years

and age of the son is (4+x)years

according to question

30+x=2(4+x)

=> 30+x=8+2x

=> 30-8=2x-x

=> x=22

so after 22 years the man will be twice as old as his son
