a man is 42 years old and his sons age is 12 years old.how many years ago was the fathers age six times that of the son?

When the father will be of 36 years and son will be of 6 years

initial age of man=42

initial age of son=12

42-x=6(12-x)

42-x=72-6x

5x=30

x=6

therefore 6 years ago the following condition happened
