 So the no.pages he read the on second day will be 2x 
   ∵ no. of pages read on the second day is half the of pages read on prev day
Similarly no. of pages read on third day and fourth day will be 4x and 8x


Total pages read in four days = 300
⇒x+2x+4x+8x = 300
⇒15x = 300 
⇒x = 20
