Therefore father's age = 3x

Five years before ;

Sons age = x - 5

Mans age = 3x - 5

Therefore ,

3x - 5 = 4 [ x- 5 ]

3x - 5 = 4x - 20

3x - 4x = -20 + 5

-x = - 15

x = 15

Therefore sons present age = 15 yrs.

Mans age = 3x = 3 * 15 = 45 yrs.
