A man is walking at a speed of 10 kmph. After every km, he takes a rest for 5 minutes. How much time will he take to cover a distance of 5 km?​

He will take 50 minutes to cover 5km

Speed = 10km/h

=} Time to cover 1km

= 1km/10km/h

= 1/10th of an hour.

= 6min

So therefore

1km= 6min+5min break

= 11min

=} 5km = (11×5)- 5 (because he doesn't need to take a rest for the last km)

= 55-5

=50 minutes.
