hi ,

let the property of the man = Rs x

amount daughter get = Rs x /3

amount son get = Rs x / 4

remaining amount = Rs 20000

x - x / 3 - x / 4 = 20000

( 12 x - 4x - 3x ) / 12 = 20000

5x / 12 = 20000

x = ( 20000 × 12 ) / 5

x = 4000 × 12

x = 48000

Therefore ,

The total amount the man left = x = Rs 48000

I hope this helps you.
