A man left rs 9656 to be divided among his three sons in proportion to their ages at the time of his death. When he died their ages were 25,22and21 respectively (a) obtain the share of each ,(b) what difference it would have made to each of his sons, if the father had lived a year longer?

a)
ages ratio =25 x 22 x 21 x
sum of Ages is 68 x
so if we divide the money by total ages we will get money for 1yr age
68x= 9656
X= 142
so share of 25x = 3550rs
of 22x =3124rs
of 21x = 2892rs

b)
if the father lived one year more, then the new ages would be
26,23,22
sum =71x
71x= 9656
X=136
new share=26x=3536rs
23x=3128rs
22x=2856rs
