Remainder money, after losses 20% of his money

= x−20% of x=x−x×20/10=5x−x/5=4x/5

Remainder money, after spending 25% of his

remainder money = 4x/5−25% of (4x/5)

= 4x/5−(4x/5×25/100)

= 4x/5−x/5=4x−x/5=3x/5

According to the question,

3x/5=480

= x=480×5/3 = Rs.800.
