Find the percentage of money left after he loses 25%

100 - 25 = 75%

Find the percentage of money left after he spent 20% of the rest:

20% x 75 = 0.2 x 75 = 15%

75 - 15 = 60%

Find the original amount:

60% = Rs 10200

1% = 10200 ÷ 60 = Rs 170

100% = 170 x 100 = Rs 17000

Answer:  He had Rs 17000 originally

Let the amount he originally had be 'x'.

A man loses 25% of his money.

Money left = x - 0.25 x = (1 - 0.25)x = 0.75 x.

After spending 20% of the rest, he has 10,200 left with him.

= > 0.75x * (1 - 0.2) = 10200

= > 0.75x * 0.8 = 10200

= > 0.75x = 10200/0.8

= > 0.75x = 12750

= > x = 12750/0.75

= > x = 17000.

Therefore, the amount of money he originally had = 17000.

Hope it helps!
