M=100

G=9.8 (on earth)

weight = mass x gravitation

w = mg

W= 9.8 x 100

W= 98 x 10

W= 980

Given:

mass on surface of earth m = 100 kg

To Find:

weight on surface of earth

Solution:

m = 100kg

g = 9.8 m/s²

Weight is the measure of the force of gravity acting on a body i.e, Normal Force

⇒ weight = m*g

⇒ w = 100 * 9.8 Kg m s^{-2}

⇒ w = 980 N

So, weight on earth = 980 N
