Given:-

  • Mass of man, m" = 70kg

  • Mass of block, m' = 10kg

To Find:-

  • Weight ,w

Solution:-

Firstly we calculate the Total mass

→ m = m" + m'

→ m = 70 kg + 10kg

→ m = 80kg

As we know that the weight machine measure the weight of the object.

The acceleration due to gravity on the earth's surface is 9.8m/s²

• W = mg

Substitute the value we get

→ W = 80×9.8

→ W = 8×98

→ W = 784N

Therefore, the machine reading 784 Newton.

Additional Information!!

✧ Product of mass and acceleration is called force.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀OR

A push or pull of an object is called force.

✧ SI unit of Force is Newton.

✧ It is denoted by N.

✧ Force is vector Quantity i.e., both Magnitude and direction.

✧ Mathematical term

• F = m×a

Solution

Given,

  • mass of man = 70kg (m2)
  • mass of block = 10kg (m1)

To find ,

  • we have to find here to weight .

So,

we have to put calculate the total mass to find out the weight ;

 \bold{m =  m_{1} \:  +  m_{2}}

 =  > m = 70kg + 10kg

 =  > m = 80kg

so the total mass is 80 kg .

  • N.B. - to find the weight will know that ; W =mg
  • and the acceleration due to gravity value is 9.8 m/s^2

now putting the value we get ;

 \bold{w = mg}

 =  > w = 80 \times 9.8

 =  > w = 8 \times 98

 = w = 784n

The machine reading is 784N ( Newton ) .
