A man on the deck of a ship is 16m above the water level. He observes that the angle of elevation of the top of a cliff is 45 degree and the angle of depression of the base is 30 degree.Calculate the distance of the cliff from the ship and the height of the cliff.

tan30 = y / distance
1/√3   = 16 / distance
distance = 16√3

tan45 = x / distance
x = 16√3
height of the cliff = X+Y
height of the cliff = 16+16√3
H=16(2.732)
H= 43.712 m
