Let no of apples = m  nd

Let no of oranges = n

Nd let cost ofan apple = a nd cost of an orange = o

Now m+n= 40 ---- 1

Also a*m + o*n = 17 ----- 2

And a*n + o*m = 15 --- 3

Adding 2 nd 3  v get

… a(m+n) + o (m+n)= 32

… (a+o)*(m+n)= 32

.. frm 1.. a+o = 80 paise

Let no of apples = m

and,

Let no of oranges = n

And let cost of an apple = and cost of an orange = o

Now m + n= 40 ............(1)

Also a × m + o × n = 17 ........(2)

And a × n + o × m = 15 .......(3)

Adding 2 and 3  we get ;

a(m + n) + o (m + n)= 32

(a+o) × (m+n)= 32

From (1) ....

a + o = 80 paise.

#thankyou!!
