Answer:

cost price of 12 egg = 20

selling price of 1 egg = 2

selling price of 12 egg = 12×2

                                     = 24

profit = 24-20

         = 4

Profi% = (4/20)×100

          =100/5

          =20%(Answer)

Answer:

Given:-

A man purchased some eggs rate of 20 per dozen and sold at rate is 2 per egg. What is the profit percentage?

To Find:-

The profit percentage.

Note:-

Here; for finding profit percentage, profit needs to be there. For finding profit, first we need to take S.P. price ( at which amount are sold ) into 1 dozen egg price ( 1 dozen egg = 12 eggs ) and then we will calculate profit i.e. Profit = S.P. - C.P.

Profit Percentage =  \dfrac{Profit}{C.P.} × 100 .

Solution:-

[ First, taking S.P. price into 1 dozen egg ]

 \huge\red{1 \ \ egg \ \ S.P. \ \ price = ₹2}

 \huge\red{\ \ \ \ 1 \ \ dozen \ \ S.P. \ \ price = ?}

We know that~

▪︎ 1 \ \ egg = ₹2

▪︎ 12 \ \ egg ( 1 \ \ dozen ) = ₹2 × 12

▪︎ 12 \ \ egg ( 1 \ \ dozen ) = ₹24

 \huge\pink{1 \ \ dozen \ \ S.P. = ₹24}

______________________________

[ Now, finding profit ]

 \huge\red{C.P. = ₹20, S.P. = ₹24}

 \huge\red{\ \ \ \ Profit = ?}

According to note first point~

▪︎ Profit = S.P. - C.P.

▪︎ Profit = ₹24 - ₹20

▪︎ Profit = ₹4

 \huge\pink{Profit = ₹4}

______________________________

[ At last, finding profit percentage ]

 \huge\red{Profit = ₹4, C.P. = ₹20}

 \huge\red{ \ \ \ \ Profit \ \ percentage = ?}

According to note second point~

▪︎ Profit \ \ percentage = \dfrac{Profit}{C.P.} × 100

▪︎ Profit \ \ percentage = \dfrac{₹4}{₹20} × 100

▪︎ Profit \ \ percentage = \dfrac{₹400}{₹20}

After dividing~

▪︎ Profit \ \ percentage = 20

As profit is written in %~

▪︎ Profit \ \ percentage = 20 %

 \huge\green{Profit \ \ percentage = 20} %

Answer:-

Hence, the profit percentage = 20%.
