Answer :

☞ Given :

Length of the square = 25 meters

Total distance he ran = 4000 meters

☆ Required to find :

  1. Number of time rounds he had ran ?

Explanation :

Given that the measurement of the length of a square garden is 25 meters .

Hence ; side of the square garden = 25 meters .

He also mentioned that a person started running around it .

The person had ran nearly 4000 meters .

He asked us to find how many rounds he had made

So ; Solving this question is very simple .

Using the measurement of the side find the perimeter of the square .

The required formula is 4 × side .

Hence ; using the above mentioned formula find the perimeter .

As you know that perimeter of the square is equal to the distance travelled in 1 round .

Now divided the total distance ran by the man with perimeter of the square.

The result will be the number of the rounds he had ran .

☞ Solution :

Side = 25 meters

perimeter of the square = 4 × side

==> 4 x 25

==> 100 meter

Number of rounds to travel 100 meters is 1

Number of rounds to travel 4000 meters = ?

Therefore;

No. of rounds = Total distance/ Distance travelled in 1 round

Hence ;

Number of rounds = 4000m / 100m

=====> 40 rounds
