A man's age is 125% of what it was 9 years ago but 80% of what it will be after 9 years what is his present age

let age be x
x =125%(x-9)
x=80%(x+9)
125/100(x-9)=80/100(x+9)
5/4 (x-9)=4/5(x+9)
25(x-9)=16(x+9)
25x- 225 =16x + 144
9x = 369
x=41 years
