Solution:-

Let the Age of son be "x" years.

Let the Age of son be "x" years.=) Age of his Father = 3x years.

Ten years ago,

Age of Son = ( x-10) yrs.

Age of Father = ( 3x - 10) years.

A.T.Q.

=)( 3x - 10) = 5( x- 10)

=) 3x - 10 = 5x - 50

=) 5x - 3x = 50 - 10

=) 2x = 40

=) x = 20.

Hence,

Age of Son = x = 20 years.

& Age of Father = 3x = 60 years.

Present age of man is 3 times the son

Let Present age of Son=X years

Then Present age of Father=3x years

10 years ago

Son age was=(x-10) years

Father Age was=(3x-10) years

10 years ago father was also 5 times son age.

Father age 10 years ago=5×Son age 10 years ago

3x-10=5(x-10)

3x-10=5x-10

3x-5x=-50+10

-2x=-40

X=40/2

X=20

Present age of Son=X=20 years

Present age of Father=3x=3×20=60 years

\boxed{\mathbf{\huge{Son=20\:years}}}

\boxed{\mathbf{\huge{Father=60\:years}}}
