suppose,
he bought 100 kg at the rate of 1 Rs. per kg.
100 Rs = 100 kg
he uses 20% less than the actual measure.
that means,
20/100×100=20
100-20=80 kg
he sells.
80 kg at the rate of 110 Rs.
then,
100 kg will be sold at the rate of (110/80)×100
=110×12.5
=137.5 Rs
cost price of 100 kg = 100 Rs.
Selling price of 100 kg = 137.5 Rs.
Profit = 137.5-100
= 37.5
Profit % = 37.5 %
