Answer:

first article

sp=640   p%=20

as, sp=(1+p/100)cp

cp=640*100/120

=553.33

second article

sp=640  l%=10

as, sp=(1-l/100)cp

cp=640*100/90

=711.11

total sp=640+640=1280

total cp=553.33+711.11=1264.44

as,sp>cp

it is profit.

profit=sp-cp

1280-126.44=15.56

ans- profit=rs 15.56

Answer:

profit= 35.6

Step-by-step explanation:

For the first article:

s.p=640/-; gain = 20%

C.P =S.P ×(100÷100+gain)

C.P =640 ×(100÷120) = 1600÷3 =533.333...(approx)

For the second article:

S.P =Rs. 640

Loss= 10%

C.P = 640×(100÷100-10)

= 6400/9=711.1 (approx)

Total S.P = 640+640 =Rs.1280

Total C.P = 533.3 +711.1 =Rs.1244.4

As S.P >C.P we get Profit

and  Profit = S.P-C.P

profit=1280-1244.4 =35.6
