SP of 1 pen = 9/4 = rs2.25

Gain = 25%

To find : no of pens for rs 90

Explanation:

cp \:  =  \frac{100}{100 + gain}  \times sp

cp =  \frac{100}{100 + 25}  \times 2.25

cp =  \frac{100}{125}  \times 2.25

cp =  \frac{9}{5}  = rs \: 1.8

cp of 1 pen = rs 1.8

cp of 90 pens = 1.8 × 90

cp of 90 pens = rs 162
