A man sold two radios for Rs.5000 each. On one he gets a gain of 10% and on other a loss of 10% . Then his loss is 1 %

Solution:

In the case where loss and gain percentage is common on same selling price, always a loss incurs in total deal

This loss is given as:

loss \% =( \frac{ \text{ Common loss or gain percentage }} { 10 } )^2 \%

Common loss or gain percentage = 10 %

Therefore,

loss \% = (\frac{10}{10})^2 \% \\\\loss \% = 1 \%

Thus his loss is 1 %
