The Monthly income of man is ₹8640.

He spends 2/5 of his salary on food.

So, 2/5 of 8640 = 2/5 × 8640
= 2 × 1728
=₹3456

He spends 3/10 of his salary on rent

So, 3/10 of 8640 = 3/10 × 8640
= 3 × 864
=₹2592

He spends 1/4 on miscellaneous expenses.

So, 1/4 of 8640 = 1/4 × 8640
=8640/4
=₹2160

Therefore, his total expense on food , rent and miscellaneous expenses are -

₹ ( 3456 + 2592 + 2160)
=₹8208

His savings = Income - Total Expenses
= 8640 - 8208
= ₹ 432

Answer) Monthly savings of man are ₹ 432.
