let monthly income is x
then...
4/5*x + 1/2*x + 1/5*x + 400 = x
now solve this equation for x
15/10* x + 400 = x

Answer:

Let, the monthly income of the person be ₹ x.

Now,

 \frac{4}{5} x +  \frac{1}{2} x +  \frac{1}{5} x = 400. \\  =  >  \frac{8 + 5 + 2}{10} x = 400. \\  =  >  \frac{15}{10} x = 400. \\  =  > x = 400 \div  \frac{15}{10} . \\ x = 400 \times  \frac{10}{15} . \\ x =  \frac{4000}{15} . \\ x = 266.67.

Hence, the monthly income of the person is ₹266.67.
