Step-by-step explanation:

100 % total

100- 10 = 90

90% - 500₹ = remain

then 10% spent

{90% - 500}×0.9=360

90%= 900₹

100%= 1000₹

The man had an amount of Rs. 1000 initially.

Given,

A man spent 10% of his money

then ₹500

then 10% of the remaining.

he had ₹360 left

To Find,

The amount he had initially.

Solution,

The percentage is a fraction or a ratio in which the value of whole is always 100.

let's take the amount man had initially = 100%

If he spent 10% of it , he left with = 100-10 = 90%

then, again he spent Rs. 500

So, the remaining amount = 90%-Rs.500.

Now again he spent 10% of it.

new remaining amount = (90%-Rs.500)×\frac{9}{10} = 360 Rs.

then,

90%-500=400

=90%=900Rs.

so,

100%=1000 Rs.

The man had an amount of Rs. 1000 initially.
