Rent equals to 54,000, remaining 90,000. Clothes and feeding equals to 30,000 remaining 60,000.
60,000/1,44,000*100 = 2/5th of his salary.

Total Salary of man = Rs 144,000
Salary spent on rent by him = 3/8 x 144000
                                               = 54,000
Current amount left = 144000 - 54000 = 90,000
Salary spent on clothes and feeding = 1/3 x 90,000
                                                              = 30,000
Total amount spent by him = 54,000 + 30,000
                                              = 84,000
Current amount left = 144000 - 84000
                                  = 60, 000
Fraction of salary left = Amount of money left after expenditure
