(i)
Time = Distance travelled by sound / Speed of sound
= (2 × 25 m) / (350 m/s)
= 0.143 second

(ii) Yes, because the least time for distinct echo to be heard is 0.1 second.
Sound is returning to man in approximately 0.1 second.

Answer:

a. The time after which the man receives the reflected sound

v =2d/t

t=2d/v

=2*25m/350m/s

=0.14s

b. Since 0.14s>0.1s . Therefore, he will be able to hear a distinct echo
