solution : initial position of the man, S₀ = 20 m
now distance covered by the man at t = 2sec, S₁ = 2(2)² + 5(2) = 18 m
∴ the position of the man from the origin at (t = 2 sec ) = S₀ + S₁
= 20 m + 18 m = 38m
therefore the position of the man from the origin at t = 2 sec is (38m, 0).
