Let is house be at the Origin ( Intersection point in the attachment )

He drives 169 km to the eastern direction. Again he drives 192 km towards the western direction.

Therefore western direction has greater length of distance. So he is facing the western direction from his home.

West Direction Distance - East Direction Distance = Distance from home.

=> 192 km - 169 km = Distance from Home.

\bold{= 23 \:km = \:Distance\: from\: home.}

Hence he is at a distance of 23 km from his home facing the West direction.

The man starts towards East and covers 169 Km. Then he goes towards West and covers 192 Km.

It means he is driving along the same path i.e. goes towards East and comes back towards West, but covers an extra distance of 23 Km towards West.

Therefore, the man is 23 Km away from his home, and in the direction of West.
